Visitors Protect: Visitors Protect Insurance offers coverage for international visitors traveling from their home country to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
This plan covers pre existing conditions for age 69 and below up to $25,000 and for ages 70 and above it covers up to $20,000 with deductible of $1,500.
Coverage for medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation.
This benefit is available in this plan only up to age of 70 years. Patriot America Plus plan has all the benefits of the Patriot America plan including this benefit. This plan is renewable for 2 years. It is popular among the Non US visitors coming to the US.
Patriot International Lite: Patriot International Lite Insurance offers travelers insurance cover outside their home country whose destination excludes the United States and its territories.
For US citizens: IMG travel insurance offers coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to the plan maximum for travelers aged up to 65 years and $2,500 for travellers aged over 65 years.
For Non US citizens: IMG travel insurance offers coverage of the maximum limit or $500,000 whichever is less to travelers up to the age of 70 years. IMG travel insurance also offers a coverage of $25,000 up to the age 65 years for expenses involved in emergency medical evacuation arising from acute onset of pre-existing conditions.
Visitors Care plan: This is the only Fixed or scheduled benefit visitor plan from IMG. It offers coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions with sublimits.
Patriot Platinum: It covers Sudden and Unexpected Recurrence of a Pre-existing Condition – For US Citizens: Up to age 65 with primary health plan covered up to plan maximum. Up to age 65 without primary health plan up to $20,000 lifetime maximum. 65 years and above with or without primary health plan up to $2,500 lifetime maximum.
For Non US Citizens: Up to age 65 - $50,000 lifetime maximum for eligible expenses. Age 65 years and above - $2,500 lifetime maximum.
The important feature of this plan that is unique to this plan is, the higher policy maximum option of up to $8,000,000.
IMG pre existing conditions insurance for student
The following two plans are student insurance plans from IMG with pre- existing conditions are concerned. Please review the eligibility criteria to buy student insurance plans:
Student Health Advantage: This plan has 2 types namely Standard and Platinum. The Standard plan is available with a policy maximum limit of $300,000 and the Platinum with a $500,000. The Standard plan has a waiting period of 12 months to cover the pre-existing conditions and the Platinum plan has 6 months waiting period to cover the pre-existing conditions.
Patriot Exchange: The sudden recurrence of a pre-existing condition coverage is available only for US citizens. Here the eligible medical expenses are covered up to $5,000 lifetime maximum and the emergency medical evacuation is covered up to $25,000 lifetime maximum.
The pre-existing conditions are covered after the sudden recurrence benefit is exhausted. For conditions existing within 36 months before effective date, charges are excluded until after 12 months of coverage, and is covered for $500 maximum per period of coverage and $50,000 lifetime maximum.
IMG Longterm international medical insurance
With IMG Global Plans, pre-existing conditions coverage is available for $50,000 lifetime maximum with $5000 per period of coverage after 24 months, except for the Bronze plan which excludes pre-existing condition coverage and the Platinum plan which covers it as any other illness.
