The Atlas America/Atlas Travel plan is a good comprehensive plan and very popular with tourists to the US because there is no coinsurance or cost after the deductible if you go within the PPO network of the company. This plan covers "acute onset of pre-existing condition" up to the age of 80.
There is an additional coverage available for adventure sports as well on this plan. They recently added a $15 copay for urgent care (paid instead of the deductible, unless your deductible is $0, then you do not pay the copay either).
