Who Is Eligible for StudentSecure Elite Insurance?
- Individuals up to the age of 65 years.
- Must be a full-time student at a college or university (excluding fully online institutions), or within 31 days of full-time status, or a full-time scholar performing research/work at least 30 hours per week.
- The full-time status requirement is waived for F-1 visa holders (including OPT) and J-1 visa holders in the U.S.; M-1 and other visa categories must still meet full-time requirements.
- Must reside outside their home country for the purpose of international educational activities.
- Must not have obtained residency status in the host country.
- U.S. participants must hold a valid education-related visa; a copy of Form I-20 or DS-2019 may be requested.
- Not available to individuals physically located in New York, Maryland, Washington, Iran, Canada, or Australia at the time of purchase. Travel to Iran is not eligible under this plan.

- check_circle Vaccinations, routine physical exams, and other diagnostic labs, x-rays, or procedures for screening or preventive purposes.

- check_circle Medical expenses for injury or illness resulting from participation in specifically excluded extreme sports (full list in the Description of Coverage).
Note: A pre-existing condition is any injury, illness, sickness, disease, or other physical, medical, mental, or nervous disorder, condition, or ailment that, with reasonable medical certainty, existed at the time of application or at any time during the 12 months prior to the effective date of this insurance - whether or not previously diagnosed, treated, or disclosed.

A Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network is a group of qualified doctors, well-recognized hospitals, and medical facilities that have contracts with WorldTrips to provide medical services to insured students at negotiated rates. Using PPO network providers helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for insured students.
The StudentSecure Elite insurance PPO network includes the UnitedHealthcare PPO network, giving international students access to a wide range of healthcare providers across the United States. Outside the U.S., there is no PPO network - students can locate doctors and hospitals through the international provider directory.

Your StudentSecure Elite international student health insurance covers sudden illness, accidental injury, and acute onset of pre-existing conditions. Elective procedures are excluded, and the preventive care benefit only applies after 6 months of continuous coverage. For major events, call WorldTrips' 24/7 travel assistance line first.
Show your StudentSecure ID card at a UnitedHealthcare PPO provider to minimize out-of-pocket costs. Out-of-network providers are allowed, but you may need to pay upfront and file for reimbursement.
With a $0 deductible, in-network care inside the U.S. is paid at 80% of the next $10,000 of eligible expenses (after applicable copayments), then 100% up to the $500,000 per-injury/illness maximum, within your plan's overall $5,000,000 policy maximum. Outside the U.S., eligible expenses are paid at 100% after copayments, up to the overall maximum.
