WorldMed Insurance : Covid-19 is covered as any other illness under the Medical Expense maximum. Testing for Covid-19 will only be covered if deemed medically necessary by a physician. The antibody test and prescreening test are not covered, as they are not medically necessary. Maximum age for plan eligibility is 64.

Travel Insurance Select offers covid19 coverage for international trips as follows
1. A person who becomes ill prior to their trip (including with Covid-19) and is diagnosed and under treatment by a legally qualified physician, in which case Trip Cancellation benefits may apply. (Trip Cancellation benefits could also apply in this scenario if an immediate family member or travel companion becomes ill and meets the same criteria.) Note - a positive Covid test alone is not sufficient proof to substantiate a claim under Trip Cancellation.
2. A person traveling in an affected country who becomes ill, in which case Emergency Medical Expense or Emergency Medical Evacuation benefits may apply,
3. A person facing mandatory quarantine in their destination due to a positive Covid-19 test, in which case Trip Interruption and/or Travel Delay benefits may apply, or
4. Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) – this option must be purchased as an upgrade within 21 days of your initial trip deposit/payment. To use CFAR, you must cancel your trip at least two days prior to your scheduled departure date. Other conditions apply – see plan details.

There are 2 types of plans namely Plan A and Plan B.
Plan A is available for the age range of 14 days to 80+ years and Plan B is available for age range of 14 days to 69 years.
The policy maximum for accident and sickness medical coverage limits with Plan A is $75,000. For people above 80, the policy maximum is $20,000.
The policy maximum for accident and sickness medical coverage limits with Plan A is $200,000. For people in the age range of 65 -69, the policy maximum is $100,000.

Travelers who contract coronavirus in areas with a level 3 advisory will not be covered for coronavirus illness. If your travel began under a level 2 advisory and changed to level 3 during your trip, you will be covered even if they contracted it after the updated warning was issued.
