  • Atlas Premium Insurance Advantages
    • This plan covers "acute onset of pre-existing condition" up to the age of 80.
    • There is an additional coverage available for adventure sports as well on this plan.
    • Atlas Premium recently added a $15 copay for urgent care (paid instead of the deductible, unless your deductible is $0, then you do not pay the copay either).
    • It is a unique plan in offering coverage for complications of pregnancy in the first 26 weeks of gestation.

    • Only $10,000 maximum coverage for 80+ travelers.

An Overview of Atlas Premium Insurance

Eligibility

  • Available for Non-U.S. citizens and residents who are traveling and working outside of their home country.
  • For ages 14 days to 69 years.

Renewability

  • Coverage is available from 5 days to 12 months.
  • This plan can be renewed online.

Pre-existing condition

  • Offers Acute onset of pre-existing coverage up to the age of 70 years.
  • $25,000 maximum limit for emergency medical evacuation.

Cancellation

  • Before effective date: Full refund of Premium is available.
  • After effective date: Only Premium for unused whole-months, if paying in monthly installments, or unused days, if paid in full, of the Premium will be refunded; and
    You cannot have filed any claims to be eligible for a Premium refund.

Coinsurance

For coverage inside USA Atlas Premium insurance pays:

  • Plan pay 100% of eligible expenses after the deductible up to the overall maximum limit.

Restrictions

Plan excludes coverage to individuals who are physically located in the states of New York, Maryland, or Washington; or in the countries of Canada or Australia at time of purchase.

Atlas Premium travel medical insurance - FAQ's

1. Am I Eligible for an Atlas Premium Travel Insurance Plan?

If you are at least 14 days old and traveling internationally, you are eligible for coverage. You must purchase coverage for at least 5 days, though you do not have to travel all 5 days.If you are under age 65, you may select an overall maximum limit between $50,000 and $2,000,000. Applicants age 65 to 79 may choose an overall maximum limit of $50,000 or $100,000. Atlas Premium Travel insurance offers a $10,000 policy maximum to applicants over age 80.

2. Does the Atlas Premium Travel Insurance Plan Provide Any Trip Cancellation Coverage?

Atlas Premium Travel does not provide any reimbursement if you must cancel your trip prior to departure. However, it does include a Trip Interruption benefit if you must end your trip early due to a covered reason.Note that Atlas Premium Travel medical insurance has a lower premium than most travel insurance plans because it does not include a Trip Cancellation benefit. It also provides more medical benefits with higher coverage limits than most travel insurance plans.
