Policy Maximum
|
Global Student USA Preferred Insurance plan offers benefit maximums of US$25,000, US$50,000 or US$100,000 for the life of the plan.

|
US$75 or US$150 deductible per period of coverage.

Eligibility
|
Plans are open to non-US citizens temporarily located outside their home country as a non-resident alien, engaged in full-time international education between the ages of 14 and 64. |

Pre-Existing Condition Coverage |
The insurer does not pay benefits for loss due to a pre-exsting condition during the first 1 year of coverage. Pre-Existing conditions will be covered after the covered person's coverage has been in force for 1 year.

- Non-US citizens engaged in full-time education can buy this policy online.
- Plan is available for the age group of 14 years to 64 years.
- Get discount on prescription drugs discounts through Universal Rx pharmacy networks.
- Refund of full premium if policy is cancelled before the policy start date. If the request is received after the policy start only the unused whole months insurance will be refunded.
- Deductible reduced to $50 if treatment is initiated at a Recognized Student Health Center.
- Policy can be renewed online. There is a grace period of 31 days within which the policy has to be renewed.
- Pre-existing conditions are covered after one year of continuous coverage. However medical evacuation and repatriation do not have a waiting period.
- This plan includes maternity care for covered pregnancy, inpatient and outpatient treatment of mental and nervous disorders including drug or alcohol abuse.
- Also covers for specified therapies, bedside visit, evacuation and repatriation.
- Covers for medical treatment of injuries due to motor vehicle accident, medical treatment arising from participation in intercollegiate, interscholastic, club sports and for dental expenses.
